following route aims at giving the interested people an opportunity
to discover the ancient Via Claudia Augusta on the basis of an accurate
historical reconstruction led by Alpago Novello, a famous researcher
from Belluno. He proposes a detailed route still today object of
study and sometimes of controversy, to be taken however into consideration.

and its surrounding area offer several opportunities of visiting
small but valuable works of art, such as the several churches perfectly
integrated in the Feltrino landscape and in its surroundings. Moreover
Feltrino area offers some bicycle excursions.
The whole itinerary has been divided into 3 daily routes, all reaching
culturally and historically interesting places in a varied alternation
of different landscapes. Feltre always represents the starting and
ending point of each route.

The itinerary chosen shall give as much as possible
evidence of the Via Claudia Augusta, whose presumed route is known
thanks to the research led by the historian Alpago Novello. Difficult
roads have been avoided, when possible. All the routes are well
signposted.
