Art does not necessarily mean the break between past and extreme
research of some new expressions of art. It can be also meant as
a personal interpretation of reality through an old clarification
such as Giotto, Ingres, De Chirico, Picasso.

Fitzi's artistic expression is connoted by a re-use of shapes,
quotations, mannerisms through a completely modern method, not
easy and immediate to understand. The approach to his works is
difficult. His paintings are almost always huge as if they were
not able to keep the thoughts of the artist and his unexplored
universe. His paintings show huge bodies made of stone, but light
at the same time when plunging into a petrified sea. In order
not to slide on the dressed surfaces, to reach the Meaning and
plunge into a timeless and more realistic dimension, it is necessary
to understand that the work is meant as a conceptual idea first
and than as a manual work. Faber investigates through his mind
and not his eyes the world of myth, nature, history (for instance,
very precise are the references to the huge archaeological fragments
in the Palazzo dei Conservatori in Rome). Hermann Fitzi's art
is similar to the sea he has Depicted. It is therefore not completely
understandable and for this reason really fascinating.
